I guess i'm one of the first persons to (literally!!) anchor a 4x4. The water you see in the background is an artificial lake, dug by a cutter-dredge, which keeps itself in position with, guess what, 4 ft. anchors. Unknowingly I drove over one trying to get up the hill from which these pics were taken. Somehow one triangular 'arm' got on top of the drivers' side rear axle tube. I took 4 vehicles to get me out of there, a Unimog to lift my rear end up, to clear the anchor, a Rangerover to winch the thus cleared anchor from under me, and 2 Jeeps to winch the W200 up the hill. Fortunately the axle was still straight, and the anchor had (just) missed my gas tank. The only damage was a broken axle-breather connection, which was quickly fixed (temporarily) with some hose clamps and duct-tape.
